Conservative Anglican proclaims: "the Archbishop of Canterbury is outmoded and even dangerous to the flourishing of a global communion."

“And in certain key respects, it seems to me the place of the Archbishop of Canterbury is outmoded and even dangerous to the flourishing of a global communion. … In my opinion, the theologico-political position of the Archbishop of Canterbury presents an insuperable obstacle to a fully empowered Global Anglican Communion. This obstacle could be obviated in one of two ways: either by internationalizing the See of Canterbury or by making it a titular office.”

Editor’s note: So it would be OK if the “See of Canterbury” moved to Nigeria (where there are “more” Anglicans) and the real “See of Canterbury” would be left to the dustbin of history.

What a weird form of ‘Anglicanism’ this is – tradition tossed to suit the mutiny du jour. Well maybe this time all of those gay hating, women are second class Christian type bigots will finally go off and play by themselves. We van hope.
