Estate, Tax, & Charitable Planning for
the LGBT Community
Susan von Herrmann will conduct an informational seminar directed at non-traditional families. Some of the topics she will discuss are how estate planning can protect one’s partner and family, how the new laws affect same sex couples, the pros and cons of registering as domestic partners, and charitable planned giving and tax reduction strategies. Susan is an estate planning attorney with special expertise in assisting non-traditional families avoid unnecessary taxes while accomplishing their personal and charitable goals. Susan is an active director of the Point Foundation, the leading LGBT scholarship fund in America; a member of the Grace Cathedral Planned Giving Committee; and a partner at Fitzgerald Abbot & Beardsley in Oakland.
