Methodist conference delegates expect no change on gay issues
Tulsa delegates to the United Methodist General Conference don't expect the church's position on homosexuality to change during the 10-day convention that begins Wednesday in Fort Worth, Texas.
The General Conference, held every four years, is the only body that can change church policy as written in the Book of Discipline and the Book of Resolutions.
Lay delegate Tom Junk hefted two big books of proposed changes as he sat in his office Monday at Parker Trust, where he is a trust administrator. SEE Methodist conference delegates expect no change on gay issues
